1. Avoiding your niche
Your blog should be based around a particular theme, niche, or idea. You can go with a broad theme, such as food presentation and photography, celebrity gossip, or advice and tips.
A blog is an online journal that talks about a specific topic. Just one, or a few others related to that one.
You can get away with the occasional post that strays from your primary message or brand. But if you are trying to build traffic, you need to find an editorial focus and stick to it. A tighter focus leads to higher traffic. This is why you should try to focus on three areas: leadership, social media, and publishing.
2. Fail to create catchy headlines
Your headline is the first, and perhaps only, an impression you make on a prospective reader. Without a compelling promise that turns a browser into a reader, the rest of your words may as well not even exist. So, from a copywriting and content marketing standpoint, writing great headlines is a critical skill.
3.Putting ads everywhere
Making money with a blog is admissible if you are passionate about your topic and if you write quality content.
However, you should avoid filling your blog with too many advertising. The visitors are on your site for your content, not just for your advertising. Google does not want to suggest a URL at the top of the page to a user while he is researching, which may be, after visiting that site, remain not satisfied and may want to change the Search Engine in order to find better solutions.
So do not be greedy and be careful not to overload your site with too many banners and ads.
4. Plagiarism your blog
You and your blog must be original and spontaneous. Even if you’re a beginner as a blogger don’t copy/paste all the contents from other popular sites.
But you can take inspiration or ideas from other sites and write your own words accordingly.
Remember that, Google penalizes heavy on the one who just copies and paste the contents of other sites which can cause your blog to be spammed forever.

6. Ignoring comment section
If you want to build a popular blog, you need to be active in your comments section with users/visitors.
Ignoring your comment section will only bring negative criticism which will only cause loss of your subscribed users. It is not necessary to reply to every comment that you get in one article rather reply to those who want to get more information and queries about your article. In this way, you can engage more users to comment on every article without losing any user.
7. Intermittent posting
For a blogger, consistency is very important. If you have decided to post twice a week, you have to respect the days in which you will publish your new posts.
Being consistent you can gain a certain amount of trust from users as you keep them posted. If you decide to skip a week from your posting schedule, make sure your users know about it.
The lack of consistency is a serious mistake because who is not constant, fails to retain the readers also the number of visits you may receive is directly proportional to the number of posts you have written.
